ORG has finished its advice on the connecting of the IJ in Amsterdam. Alexander D’Hooghe led the advisory committee. The goals was to devise a reasonable and realizable plan which could be implemented to connect North and South Amsterdam.
Infrastructure methods for connecting the IJ have long been contentious, meanwhile the only connection- public ferries, become more overcrowded by the day. The Amsterdam Waterways Connections Advisory Committee has worked hard to come up with new solutions. Alexander D’Hooghe directs the committee with committee members Larissa Van Der Lught and Maarten Schmitt.
