We see urbanism as a resiliency practice. Resiliency in urbanism means building a city capable to withstand and absorb shock, disruption and change.  To do so convincingly, we have developed a core process that sets us apart from the competition. This core process includes a ‘shock testing’ module, where we evaluate the performance of the proposed urban design or investment against different change scenarios. These range from flooding to changes in social composition and programming of the area. We are completing resiliency plans for various North-American cities and regions on the vulnerable Atlantic coast.
